About NewCasinoRank

What is NewCasinoRank?

A site that reviews new online casinos for players in New Zealand. Each review covers the licence, New Zealand access, payments, studios and what the welcome offer is worth.

What else is on the site?

Guides to bonuses, games and terms, pages by game type and studio, and news on New Zealand's licensing changes. Start at our guides.

Can I play casino games here?

No. We do not host games; we link to casinos and explain their games and terms.

How do you rank casinos?

By licence, New Zealand access, payments, bonus terms, games and support. The order is set by our method, not by the commission a casino pays. Details on how we rank.

New casinos

What counts as a new online casino?

One founded this year or in the two years before, by the year the casino states. Each review also shows when it joined our list.

How often do new casinos launch?

Every month. Many are new brands built on an existing platform, so the lobby can be large from day one even when the brand itself has no history.

Are new casinos safe?

As safe as their licence, terms and payment record, and a new brand has no payment record yet. Check the licence on the regulator's register, read the withdrawal terms and make a small withdrawal early. Compare new and older sites in our guide to the differences.

Playing from New Zealand

Is it legal to play online casino games in New Zealand?

The Online Casino Gambling Act 2026 came into force on 1 May 2026 and brings in licensed online casinos. Its penalties apply to operators and advertisers, not to players. From 1 December 2026, offshore casinos that have not applied for a licence must stop offering online casino games to New Zealanders.

What is the minimum age?

You must be 18 or older to gamble online, and a casino can ask for ID before your first withdrawal.

Can I play in New Zealand dollars?

At many casinos, yes; each review says whether NZD is supported. Without it, your bank converts each deposit and withdrawal and charges a fee.

Which payment methods work?

Visa and Mastercard debit cards, POLi bank payments at some casinos, Apple Pay and Google Pay, e-wallets such as Skrill and Neteller, Paysafecard vouchers and crypto. Check that your deposit method can also take a payout.

Bonuses and accounts

Are new casino bonuses worth claiming?

Only when the wagering is low. At 96% RTP, wagering above about 25x on the bonus costs more on average than the bonus is worth. See new casino bonuses.

Why does a new casino ask for my ID?

To confirm your age and identity and to meet anti-money-laundering rules, usually before the first withdrawal. Upload documents early. More in why new casinos ask for ID.

Can I have accounts at several casinos?

Yes, but only one account per casino. A second account at the same casino usually means both are closed and winnings kept.

Responsible gaming

Play only if you are 18+ and it stays fun

These rules apply on every page of this site. A young casino has less history to judge it by, so the limits matter more.

18+ only

Adults only, everywhere

You must be 18 or older, and older in some countries. A casino can ask for ID before your first withdrawal, and new casinos often do.
